variety of product candidates, including hydrophilic small molecules, peptides
and proteins..
Transdermal delivery of large proteins is a novel and exciting delivery
method. There is no commercial technology currently available that incorporates
proteins into transdermal patches. By combining our unique ViaDerm device with
our proprietary printed patch into an integrated transdermal drug delivery
system, we are able to deliver peptide and protein therapeutics safely and
painlessly.
We are currently pursuing two proprietary transdermal drug-product
development programs: ViaDerm-hPTH (1-34), for the treatment of osteoporosis,
and ViaDerm-hGH, for human growth hormone deficiency. Our development programs
are in the clinical stage and results thus far have been extremely promising.
