TransPharma’s proprietary drug delivery system enables the delivery of a wide
variety of product candidates, including hydrophilic small molecules, peptides
and proteins.
Transdermal delivery of large proteins is a novel and exciting delivery
method. There is no commercial technology currently available that incorporates
proteins into transdermal patches. By combining our unique ViaDerm device with
our proprietary printed patch into an integrated transdermal drug delivery
system, we are able to deliver peptide and protein therapeutics safely and
painlessly.
Our current transdermal drug-product development programs include ViaDerm-hPTH (1-34),
for the treatment of osteoporosis, which is in Phase 2B and developed in
collaboration with Eli Lilly, and two additional peptide drugs in Phase 1
clinical trials.
